Snow Again!

It snowed again on Sunday and I was actually up to see it while it was still all white and untouched because unfortunately this year our church is at 8:00am! Did I mention that Xander and I ARE NOT morning people? Xander practically sleeps through church (it takes about 10 minutes to get him to wake up and go to primary!) And now, Ash and I got released as librarians so I can't hide in there to take a nap. Ash is now the Sunday school teacher for the 15-16 year olds so he isn't around to keep me awake in Gospel Doctorine (I really miss good teachers like Jenn Stanger!) Even though I loved being in the library, I do like what I am doing now...I am an activity days leader for the 8-12 year girls which is a lot of fun. If anyone has any good ideas for activity days, let me know!

I am Activity day assistant leader and we have had a lot of fun. What we did is have the girls come up with a list of 50 things they want to do it their life time and have activities based around what they want to do. We started writing at our activity and then they finished at home and followed up with their parents to get the lists. Some girls did not quite get to 50 but most of them did. If you have any other ideas let me know. I can email you stuff that we have done. I sure love the girls we work with!

Becky, I feel for you! We haven't been on time for church since I can remember. IT's the 9oclock church and 1/2 hour commute. I was activity days leader for 3 years in Philly---that's gotta be interesting I know. The girls loved to cook and do crafts. One of the funnest things we did was a penpal party for another group of activities girls in another part of the U.S. It worked out nice, becuase my sister in law was the activity leader in California. THey sent pics and letters, and it was fun to see the difference between the girls. You could easily do that because you know the pHilly ward. ALl the girls are different now, so it wouldn't be like a repeat for them. Have fun!

I am the Activity days leader in my ward. It is a fun calling. It took me a while to get used to it, but I am having fun now. There are some books you can get to help you with activities. For Valentines day last year we cut out hearts, put them on craftsticks, and decorated cookes. Then we went to some of the older sisters in the ward and left hearts all around the yards and left the cookie. The girls love to be sneaky, and had a lot of fun. Good Luck!
