Swimming

Xander is taking swimming lessons right now at the Idaho Athletic Club and he was so excited to have pictures taken to show what he is learning. The first picture is how he holds his breath when he bobs under the water. The next three pictures are how kids learn the arm movements for the elementary backstroke (I used to be a swim instructor): 1) chicken 2) eagle and 3) soldier. Then since he is such a ham, he wanted to take one more picture so the last picture is the pose that he chose. Xander loves going to the gym. We go there for family swim night and he loves to play in the babysitting area while I go to water aerobics, which I typically go to 3 times per week. If you have never tried it, water aerobics is a ton of fun and good for uncoordinated people like me who don't like to look in the mirror and see how stupid I look trying to do normal aerobics!

Cake decorating classes

I have been taking cake decorating classes at Michaels for the last couple of months and it is tons of fun! (see slide show below for some of the cakes I have made) Ash even said that his assistant wants me to do her wedding cake. I think this is the only remotely artistic thing I am actually good at.

Our New House

Here is a picture of our house that we moved into earlier this year. We love how much room we have, both inside and out! Can you believe that this house cost about the same as what we sold our house for in Philadelphia?!? There we didn't even have a parking space (well, at least not a legal one!) and our backyard was ten by ten feet!
